Commentary: Some Food For Thought

 by Guy C. LaMar

HERE is just some food for thought.

Is there any possible connection!?

For MANY years this idea has floated around but has been generally REJECTED by the churches of God.

And, the glove may not fit. But on the other hand, maybe it does!?

It is quite obvious that Russia and China are working in agreeance to destroy the United States of America!

America herself seems hell-bent on destroying herself from within.

If America crumbles from within then there is no defense against other lands from invading the United States because of the super dissension among her people due to the great flood of a disagreeing melting pot of such a huge population of hyphenated people.

Now, at this point – which is basically nearly in our own time – the United States of America has greatly lost her own individual identity as a people.

Could then Russia and China move in on America while she herself has self-destructed and they then take over her land when she is at her weakest and confused state!?

And since America has lost any form of right leadership and has become a land of abominations, it is crystal clear that God will NOT have any more favor for the United States of America!

So then, at this point, due to the inner death and mayhem caused from within her, she will have added to her own downfall by having the nations of Russia and China (or even one of the two) come on in and take over.

After which America – as a nation – will have been badly beaten and then held “captive.”

Where her able-bodied people, that are left alive, will be “sold into slavery” to a United States of Europe led by Germany.

Also, a great extermination will take place. In which people who are elderly, unfit, children too young to care for themselves will be exterminated, as the Germans did to the Jews in World War II.

Now, at the moment the focus is on the Middle East with various nations focused on taking over the Jewish land called Israel and the utter destruction of Jerusalem. In which the Muslim Palestinians will charge in for a major take over!

As happened before, the Muslims will go on a major Christian and Jewish murder spree!

And with the United States of America no longer in existence, the Jewish land known as Israel, won’t have an ally to help guard them against the great attacks which will begin to come her way.

Israel will be forced to defend herself with nuclear arms. This will cause great death and destruction.

Understand, this is only a questionable scenario of possible events to come.

This scenario is based on nearly everything that is involved in biblical prophecy laid out by the prophets.

Yet, with a little added twist of things that could very well come along with it – such as Russia and China.

It may be just what God’s living prophecies indicate!

IF – and I stress the word “IF” – this was to be how it will go down, then we would be ever closer to the end-time than we may even realize!

To all NON-practicing Christians

Christian means a follower of Christ who is Jesus of Nazareth.

And in this context of the meaning – to follow is to obey.

To follow/obey Christ Jesus is to have discipline in doing that which He shows us to do.

If you will not forsake yourself to follow His Law, Statutes, Ordinances, and Judgments, then you are NOT a true Christian.

“Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me’ – Luke 9:23, NKJV throughout.

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me’ – Matthew 16:24.

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” – Galatians 2:20.

“[A]nd He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again” – 2 Corinthians 5:15.

Keep this always in mind –

“ … ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38) This is the first and great commandment. 39) And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’ – Matthew 22:37-40.

When our Lord Jesus said to love God with your everything, that is shown by how we observe the first FOUR COMMANDMENTS and by how we love our fellow man as ourselves is shown by our keeping of the last SIX COMMANDMENTS!

’ If you love Me, keep My commandments’ – John 14:15.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

I give this extremely and MOST IMPORTANT warning to all non-practicing Christians and self-professing Christians around the world –

If you truly value the safety and welfare of your family and your own self and you truly believe in Jesus Christ, then you had better TAKE HEED to what I am going to tell you here!

Whether or not this prophesied scenario goes down as stated above in this particular manner – there is soon coming an end!

So, whether to this world and its way or to our own fleshly lives – EVERYONE had better get close to Almighty God!

We are talking eternity here!

You had better drop to your knees and PRAY to God!

REPENT – which means give up your worldly and anti-God ways and turn to God and His Way!

Yet sadly, the majority of people are going through their life with a ho-hum attitude – just focusing on their gains of the flesh, the fulfilling of their egos, pride, and vanity!

Most people are mostly focused on how others may perceive them.

Trying to kiss ass to these worldly societies and to how they may be perceived by others in high positions.

Putting on airs for folks.

Trying to be someone in the eyes of others.

Trying to please others so as to get a brag out of them.

It just feeds one’s own vanity.

They spend their life trying to measure up to a standard based upon other people’s standards.

With most people of today that claim to be a Christian – in reality when it comes to God, He is only a byword in very small doses, and by no means is God the Father or Jesus Christ the center of their life.

God is not the main focus of most people’s lives in how they look at everything.

And of such people, it is far and few in between.

Sadly, so-called Christians will ALWAYS make excuses as to why they are not trying harder.

LAME excuses such as, “My life is so hard!” or “I have so much on my plate!”

All those lame excuses are nothing but wasted time!

To Almighty God it means NOTHING!

Friends, you had better begin to observe and obey God’s holy and immutable LAW!

HIS STATUTES!

HIS ORDINANCES!

HIS JUDGMENTS!

HIS COMMANDMENTS!

Of which all equals the same thing.

And not just the commandments that someone wants to cherry-pick for their own pleasure.

Do not go around looking for twisted excuses to get around obeying all of God’s commandments!

NO ONE is allowed to twist Scripture to fit their own agenda!

It is either do as GOD says, or continue doing as a wicked heathen!

There are no in’s-and-outs about it!

If people DO NOT REPENT and turn to Almighty God then they will have zero protection when the great tribulation comes!

EVERYONE had better get on board while the ship is still anchored at the dock!

There is soon coming a time that people’s pleas will NOT BE HEARD – just as it was at the time of the Great Flood.

If you see the WARNING –

If you hear the WARNING –

And if you do not take HEED –

Then you have rejected God.

And He will reject you – when it all hits the fan!

I beg you, DO NOT think that you or anyone else is better and/or smarter than this WARNING!

To do so would be to speak against the Holy Spirit!

If you have read this, then you have been warned!

The results of your eternal outcome are based upon what you will do at this point forward. □

Satan's Fate

1 Peter 5:8-9

by Guy C. LaMar

WHAT is the fate of Satan the Devil and of the incorrigibly wicked?

A great many people just accept and believe that when you die you either “go to heaven” to be with God and Jesus Christ, or you go to “the other place” – an ever-burning hellfire.

Our Lord Jesus Christ makes it crystal clear that NO ONE has ever been to the Third Heaven – where God’s throne resides (John 3:13).

There may have been visions and dreams that have been allowed to some of which may be looked upon as “an out of the body experience,” which is a mental psyche frame of thought, into what would be considered as part of the heavenly realm (2 Corinthians 12:1-4).

But, it also could be looked upon as a future situation when the Third Heaven – God’s throne – comes to earth and the Kingdom of God gets established.

Beginning with the first and second heaven.

When our Lord Jesus calls them out of their graves at the resurrection they will go to the first heaven to meet Jesus in the clouds.

As the Bible describes, the first heaven is that which contains clouds which rain upon the earth (Deuteronomy 11:11; 1 Kings 8:35; Isaiah 55:10).

Then, as they go to the Sea of Glass (to receive their assignments, their new name, have the Bridal Supper, and to receive their white horse) where they will, most likely, be in the second heavenly realm hovering over the area of Jerusalem while on the Sea of Glass, before returning to the earth – to establish a “new earth” when God the Father Himself will come down to make His dwelling with men. Then EARTH will be the Third Heaven in this place of this World Tomorrow!

So, yes – when we look at it like that, true Christians will go to heaven after death.

Personally – for this reason – I have no issue with people that mention how when someone dies they will “go off to heaven” or go to “hell.”

Of the three different definitions, one of the definitions of hell simply means grave. A hole in the ground. Depending on the version of the Bible, one of the meanings for the Hebrew word for “hell” is Sheol – which is equivalent to the Greek term Hades. Both of these words are used in Scripture in reference to the grave – a burial in the earth.

Another word for “hell” is the Greek term Tartaroo, which occurs in only one verse (2 Peter 2:4). It refers here to the present conditions of rebellious angels, called demons, and of their restraint or imprisonment on the earth.

Then there is the word Gehenna in Greek, from the Hebrew Gai Hinnom – the Valley of Hinnom – which ran along the west and south sides of Jerusalem.

During biblical times of terrible apostasy, people were burned here in pagan sacrifices and it became a place to burn garbage. Criminals that had died were thrown into this pit to be cremated.

There is no indication here of a fire burning and torturing forever.

Satan the Devil and his demons will be cast into an Abyss for one-thousand years (Revelation 20:1-3, 7-8; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6). This hell, in Greek, is abyssos – which means “the deep place.”

This is the place where Satan the Devil and his demons are to be sent and bound for a thousand years chained up with a seal upon them so that they “should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished.”

After which they are released for a short season of time, before being permanently removed from the earth when they are “cast into the lake of fire and brimstone” which is “prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 24:41).

So, what is the ultimate fate for Satan the Devil, and his demons?

Is it be cast into what most of the religious world believes is the hell reserved for bad people!?

No.

Revelation 20:10 says:

“The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [had been cast]. And they [Satan and his demons] will be tormented day and night forever and ever [meaning, ages of the ages – eternal ages].”

The very fate of Satan the Devil and his demons are the ones who will be in a never-ending psychological torture and misery. That torture and misery is probably a lot of the fact that they will be eternally together blaming each other. They will most likely be eternally bickering over their vanity. These are the fathers of the twisted that has influenced all mankind.

Now, there are two verses that many assume proves that the bad people are to be “eternally” tortured in a hellfire. And they are Matthew 25:41 and Matthew 25:46.

This is the setting to which our Lord Jesus referred to as “’ the Son of Man comes in His glory’” (Matthew 25:31-32).

We are told that He separates the nations from one another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. The sheep represent the righteous (Matthew 25:34-40).

So, upon His return, He sets the sheep at His right hand, and He sets the goats at His left – the goats represent the incorrigibly wicked. He then consigns the goats to “’ the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels’” (Matthew 25:41).

The word everlasting in Greek is aiōnios, which means “eternal.”

The key to understanding this verse is knowing and understanding what will occur everlastingly.

Is this a fire that tortures without end, or does it have another meaning?

In Matthew 25:46 our Lord Jesus spoke in a single sentence of “’ everlasting [aiōnios] punishment’” and of “’ everlasting [eternal – aiōnios] life.’

Now, since the righteous will be given eternal – or everlasting – life, many biblical theologians believe the punishment of the incorrigibly wicked must last as long as the everlasting life given to the righteous.

Yet, this cannot be reconciled with the statement that those cast into the lake of fire PERISH – they are killed. As explained elsewhere, they suffer DEATH – the second death (Revelation 2:11; 14:1-20; 20:6; 21:8).

The plain and simple meaning of Matthew 25:46 that fits with the rest of the Bible is that the incorrigibly wicked that are cast into the lake of fire will annihilate them – renders them dead forever.

The resulting punishment of being cast into the aiōnios fire is a one-time event!

It is a permanent punishment, the results of which will remain forever – which equals eternal death.

It is not this ongoing punishment that continues forever without end!

This truth backs up the rest of Scripture.

Take note: Genesis 19 describes God’s destruction of two incorrigibly wicked cities, Sodom and Gomorrah:

“Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, …” (Genesis 19:24).

Those cities were utterly destroyed – consumed by fire and brimstone.

In the New Testament, the Book of Jude describes those cities as “suffering the vengeance of eternal [aiōnios] fire” (Jude 1:7).

Yet it is obvious that the fires that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah are not still burning.

These cities, in this case, are consigned to aiōnios fire – a fire which burns and completely destroys.

The eternal aspect of the fire is its everlasting effect – not how long it actually burns.

People that believe that GOD would create nerves that feel pain placed in a resurrected physical body – one which can feel pain as we feel pain in our physical bodies – that does not burn up so as to give anguish, torture, and misery without ever ceasing DOES NOT DESCRIBE A LOVING GOD!

That is the most hateful horrible idea ever! That does not describe the God of the Bible! That is an evil and satanic belief!

Why would a God of love (1 John 4:7-8, 16) allow such a vile and hideous thing to happen to some poor misguided person who never knew God!? Just because someone was never properly taught and educated about God and His living word they are placed in such an unthinkable situation!?

No!

This is an old heathen scare tactic.

The Bible instructs us to diligently study the word of God. This is how we come to know this simple to understand knowledge. O’ my, the vile things that people in these evangelical worldly churches have been teaching have gotten many people off course! (Joshua 1:8; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Acts 17:11; Psalm 119:9).

Too often people are prone to just accept whatever their church teaches.

We were all born in a ready-made world. A world which is ruled by Satan the Devil (2 Corinthians 4:4), and most simply just accept what this world has set up for us to believe.

Most people of this world trust their church leaders, their doctrines, and ideologies which were set in place from the very beginning of the first civilization (cf. Genesis 10:8-12). They just accept their rules without question. The majority of which is just hand-me-down teachings.

Their grandparents and parents believed a certain way, so they do.

A society, in general, believes in this or in that way so others just accept it and embrace it.

This places people living in little boxes of thought.

God’s people PROVE all things by the WORD of God – not the ideas of mankind (1 Thessalonians 5:21). □

Keeping the Sabbath On Vacation

THERE ARE some principles that will help answer certain questions in regards to keeping God’s holy Sabbath. But, unless you know the truth of the PURPOSE of the Sabbath, you cannot understand just how to keep it. I would like to cover some of this in this article.

Sadly, so many of our peoples are missing out on such good things in their lives. And, there is a reason! The greater majority of people want to know the purpose of why they were born. Many say, “Life seems to have no meaning!” But our loving CREATOR did not intend it that way.

He has offered unto mankind a specific blessing, that, when truly understood, appreciated, and rightly kept holy and remembered, will give zest to our life and ever-greater meaning that so many lacks.

This awesome blessing is God’s holy Sabbath.

My wife and I are planning a vacation for ourselves this coming July. The first one we would be taking together since getting married twenty-six years ago. We are planning to visit the state of Oregon, the state in which I was born, visit some beautiful sites, such as the Silver Falls State Park, which is located near Silverton, Oregon. On our way, we have plans on visiting Durango, Colorado, and riding the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad with a steam-powered locomotive which runs some 200 feet above the Animas River – taking in the majestic peaks as it passes through remote canyons and wilderness of the Animas Gorge and the San Juan National Forest. Also visiting the Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and seeing the Old Faithful Geyser erupt! And then next traveling to the Redwood National Park – and very possibly hiking to see the world’s tallest tree!?

Now, I mention all that, to say this – the true Sabbath was to be a sign between God and His begotten children FOREVER – but, how can one properly keep God’s holy Sabbath while on vacation!?

Now, I will certainly get to this important question, but first, some basics -

Sabbath Made for Man

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, ’ The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath’ – Mark 2:27-28, NKJV throughout.

So, to be clear, He did not say that the Sabbath was made for the Jew. ‘The Sabbath was made for MAN.’ For all mankind throughout the world. And it was made for a blessing.

It was made for you, to help you, to help you live a more enriched and happier life – a more godly life.

What I have come to understand through God’s living Spirit and truth is that one of the greatest of blessings that have been bestowed upon mankind is the Lord’s Sabbath. It signifies that God is our Creator and that we are His begotten children. The article “’ It is a sign’” is a very informative read.

Our loving Creator knew that we as physical humans would require a period of rest every SEVENTH DAY, and, of course, this is one of the great opportunities which the Sabbath accomplishes. God is giving us a day off from work every seventh day! Even a “paid vacation”!

How is it a “paid vacation”!? Well, human reasoning alone may not grasp this right away, but God promised this – and the experiences of thousands upon thousands of God’s begotten children have proven that God said what He meant and meant what He said! Now, you may not win a lottery of cash or be prosperous immediately if you suddenly begin keeping God’s FOURTH COMMANDMENT and begin paying your tithe faithfully to God – cf. Malachi 3:8 – as he has commanded. But in His time and in His way, you will begin to be blessed in ways that you may never have experienced before!

Turn with me in your Bible to the Book of Isaiah chapter 58. The High and Lofty One, whose name is Holy, inspired the prophet Isaiah to write –

“’ If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, NOT DOING YOUR OWN WAYS, NOR FINDING YOUR OWN PLEASURE, NOR SPEAKING YOUR OWN WORDS, 14) Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.

The mouth of the LORD has spoken’” – Isaiah 58:13-14.

What does the LORD God mean here “not doing your own ways,” “finding our own pleasure,” and “speaking our own words”!? Truly, this means that we should be busy doing good for others, getting ever-closer to God in prayer and Bible study. Being happy because we are able to rest, to worship God with peace, and have special time with Him.

What kind of good!?

In the Book of Exodus chapter 20, God commands us to not work on the Sabbath. So, the kind of good we should do should not contain hard physical labor, which we would normally do on other days. There is an exception which our Lord Jesus Christ gave – in the Book of Luke chapter 14 –

’ Which of you, having a [son] or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?’ – Luke 14:5.

He is referring to a genuine emergency, not some job which you “put off” until Saturday.

Another example which the Lord our Savior gave for doing good on the Sabbath was that of healing others of sicknesses – cf. Matthew 12:9-13.

Notice, He did not go abroad seeking after them. We can all use the Sabbath as a time to comfort and to minister to those who are sick on this day. Yet, it does not mean that we should overly burden ourselves with material services. Remember what He told Martha –

“ …’ Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42) But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her’ – Luke 10:41, 42.

We should try to help those who are truly interested in the glorious teachings of God’s living word – because in this way we can minister to them both physically and spiritually.

A Commanded Assembly

In Leviticus 23 the LORD our God commands –

“’ The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.’” – verse 1.

So again, notice they are not the feasts of the Jew, but rather ‘the feasts of the LORD’!

“’ Six days shall work be done, but the SEVENTH DAY is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. …’” – verse 3.

Now, a convocation is a commanded assembly. The LORD God commands you to meet with other true Christians – whenever it is possible on the Sabbath day.

But, I want this to be clear – it does not mean that you are to meet on the holy Sabbath day or any other day for that matter with those who are blinded to God’s revealed truth and who refuse to keep all God’s Commandments! Including, of course, THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT!

The apostle Paul admonishes us –

“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” – 2 Corinthians 6:14.

We Are To Be A Light In A Darkened World

Our Lord Jesus Christ told His followers –

’ You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden’ – Matthew 5:14.

O’ how our peoples of this world need someone to fearlessly show them the Way out of this spiritual darkness!

Yet, what about an unconverted spouse who does not keep God’s Sabbath holy and you're going on a long vacation with them!?

Notice this from Minister Guy LaMar –
“When traveling with an unconverted spouse this is an opportunity to let your light shine brightly. You must remember when Jesus walked this earth He didn’t have anyone fully converted as He was. He didn’t cram His religion down people’s throats, but instead, He offered Himself as an example that they may see His Spirit shining through.

Jesus is our example. He traveled on the Sabbath and the religiously self-righteous cast judgment upon Him. Those that did judge Him didn’t realize that this was the very One who made the Commandments.

So, when on a long road trip on a Sabbath day, make it a holy travel time.

If alone, use it as a time to fellowship with our Heavenly Father and Savior in prayer. Listening to songs of praise, listening to meaningful sermons, listening to the Bible on CDs, meditating on God’s word and on things that you can do in service of God.

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. … 22) Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. 23)And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24) knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25) But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality” – Colossians 3:17, 22-25.

Now, when we are with our spouse that is not of the faith – simply use this time to be a light unto them.

’ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven’ – Matthew 5:16.

“In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you” – Titus 2:7-8.

Keep your mind on God and on godly matters.

We are to come out of this world!

Often this means mentally even more than physically because this world’s system works against us – after all, this world is ruled by Satan the Devil.

So, when driving down the highways and bi-ways with your spouse by your side, keep talking in favor of God. No need to preach to them, just bring up glorious things that they can relate to – such as acknowledging the beauty of the LORD God’s handiwork around you on your vacation. You are giving praise to God - they may not realize it, but you are actually planting a seed to have them acknowledge God’s awesome handiwork!

Be kind, be loving, and be understanding.

It is not their fault that they have not been called out of this world yet, and been allowed the awesome blessing of the holy Sabbath. But through you and your example they may see Christ in you and according to their portion of understanding may be able to grow by your loving example shown unto them.

’ Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets’ – Matthew 7:12.

Often such road trips are even more fulfilling as a way to connect to God in other settings! Take advantage of the moment to praise Almighty God, under their observation – but regardless you will be planting a seed.

In fact, such a situation gives you a fantastic opportunity to offer a great service to God. It gives you a chance to let your light shine.”
But, be warned, you cannot be a light to others if you are continuing in the same man-made doctrines and practices as they do! As our Lord Jesus Christ says, we are to come out from among them! – cf. Revelation 18:4.

We must live by ‘every word which proceeds from the mouth of God’ – to show forth the true light of Christ that will eventually turn people from darkness unto light. We must be different from other people by obeying God – by having His sign upon us.

The majority of our peoples won’t like doing this.

Our Lord Jesus Christ says in John chapter 3 –

’ And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil’ – John 3:19.

Sadly, mankind is so steeped in their own traditions and customs, that the true light of Christ – the gospel message – offends them.

As Minister Michael C. Garrett has said many times, “It’s hard to sell this religion.” True Christianity is not the way to be popular with men.

O’ what an important light you are shining before others by keeping the Sabbath holy! It is a sign that sets you apart from those following the “broad way that leads to destruction.”

It is ‘Holy’ Time

So, in conclusion, turning back to the Book of Exodus chapter 20, we find the original Command of God –

“’ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy’” – Exodus 20:8.

Let us never forget that the LORD our God made the SEVENTH DAY holy time.

But, what does ‘holy’ time mean!?

Previously, and in several articles on our website I have shown you from God’s living word that we are not to do any work, our own pleasure, speaking our own words, on God’s holy Sabbath day.

We are to keep the Sabbath day holy.

So, you shouldn’t be spending a lot of time in worldly visiting or what is often called “just shooting the breeze.”

When the LORD our God said that we are to put the Sabbath day to a holy use, He means that we should be happily employed in doing good things prescribed for that day. To keep the Sabbath in a positive way. Use the Sabbath as a day of rest from our labor, to get closer to God in prayer and Bible study. Take time to do good to others, to care for the sick, to visit the afflicted. Assemble – if possible – with other true Christians on the Sabbath. Then you will truly be a light unto the world!

Friends, the holy Sabbath separates true Christians from this world’s churches with their pagan holidays and their “day of the sun.”

So, let us keep holy the feasts of the LORD! - including the Sabbath day!

And, as the apostle Paul told the church in Thessalonica –

“Rejoice always, 17) pray without ceasing, 18) in EVERYTHING give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. □

Stones of Judgment

by Guy C. LaMar

THERE ARE two utterly unpleasant judgmental ladies in a church that has inspired me to write this article.

This is in reference to their UN-CHRISTIAN assessment of two of God's long-time servants.

As I did this study on the topic of God's servants, I also had to repent after a better reflection of how off I have been in the past towards various servants of God.

Each servant of God has their part to do, in their manner of doing their service for God and I have no right to judge that manner.

People in some church settings will be rather petty towards other people for the simplest reasons - such as by how someone may smell or how someone may dress.

Neither of which is a salvation matter.

I asked myself why, as Christians, don't we just focus on our own self and not be concerned with what someone else is like in the manner of appearance.

We need to focus on that of which we are able to help, and that is our own selves.

We do NOT need to be a busy body with judgments and bellyaching about how so and so is dressed or how they may smell.

A skunk is a pretty creature but its smell isn't pleasant is all. Regardless it's still a fantastic creature made by the handy work of God to observe.

So many Church people are petty about how someone appears at church.

For man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. - 1 Samuel 16:7.

Their dress code is NOT a salvation matter.

Judging others who God is using is something I have been guilty of and will work for the rest of my life to fix.

In fact, I have found myself praising God for allowing the many various methods used by the variety of servants that God has allowed us.

Some are colorful and loud who attract various types, there are those who are low key that attracts others, there are those who are very strict in stiff that attract others.

Each has a manner to attract various types.

We have to remember that God the Father does the calling to the REAL Jesus and it is His servants who are the instruments that He uses to do that calling.

It's the servants of God who are to be a light to the world.

Our Example (our manner) is what brings in folks - or disconnects folks.

So we must work on measuring up to the example of JESUS.

Through Jesus, we can know the Father. We are told to strive to be perfect as the Father is perfect. (Matt. 5:48).

To be a TRUE Christian we MUST do away with our own selves and embrace the will (manner) of Jesus. We can't take our worldly biases and entwine them with our Christian manner otherwise we are not a true Christian.

I've said it MANY times, we MUST look to Jesus on how we are supposed to be as a people.

Without Jesus, no one is going to be in the Kingdom.

Jesus will be our ultimate judge and He has let us know that by what measure of how judge others is the exact same measure that He will judge us.

So, we had better be forgiving and far more loving.

The FOOLISH people that mock others, that spew hatred with their words and thoughts towards people that may have hurt their feelings had better regroup and realize Jesus forgave the very people that murdered and mocked Him.

He forgave His friends that betrayed Him.

When someone can see Christ in you then you know, yourself, that you are doing the right thing.

To be labeled a "man of God" or to have someone say to you they "see Jesus Christ in you." That is the greatest joy a servant of God can receive.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. - Matthew 5:9.

If a servant of God is TRYING to bring peace to God's people then we had better be exceedingly thankful towards that servant.

Otherwise such would be of Satan the Devil.

The Bible teaches us that we do not speak against God’s servants.

It is as speaking against God and God’s anger will be kindled against those who do such things.

Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them. - Numbers 12:8-9.

A servant of God is just a servant doing the will of His master. He is a vessel being used.

Speaking against a servant of God is as speaking directly against God.

It can be considered as blaspheming in the same manner as speaking against the God that folks claim to praise and worship.

God punishes people severely for speaking against Him and by speaking against His servants.

In the Bible, we see some examples with lessons to learn.
1. Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses.
Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married and the anger of the Lord was kindled against them. Miriam became leprous, as white as snow.

Num 12:1-2: And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. And they said, ‘has the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Has he not spoken also by us?’ And the LORD heard it.

For speaking against God’s servant Moses, God called Miriam and Aaron out to meet them.

Num. 12:4-5: And the LORD spoke suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, ‘Come out you three unto the tabernacle of the congregation’. And they three came out.

And God said -

‘If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?’ (Num. 12:6-8).

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them.

Num. 12:9: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

Miriam became leprous.

Num. 12:10: And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
2. Korah against Moses.
Korah gathered some children of Israel against Moses.

Num. 16:1-2: Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men. And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown.

And they said to Moses –

‘You take too much upon you, seeing the entire congregation is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: why then do you exalt yourself above the congregation of the LORD?’ (Num. 16:3).

‘Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that you should keep acting like a prince over us? Moreover you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up’ (Num. 16:13-14).

And God said to Moses –

Num. 16:21-24: Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. Speak unto the congregation saying,’ Get away from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram’.

Many are perishing because of Korah’s rebellion which is speaking against the servants of God.

Jude 1:11: Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

Woe to you for opening your mouth against a servant of God.

Why do you not fear God?

Why do you not fear speaking against a servant of God?

Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?’ (Num. 12:6-8).

For speaking against Moses, God’s anger was kindled against Korah and his company and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up into the pit.

Num. 16:31-33: And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words that the ground split apart under them. And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men with Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

And all Israel feared God and feared speaking against His servant Moses.

Num. 16:34: And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, ‘Lest the earth swallow us up also’.

An employee does what her/his employer instructs. A servant does what his/her master instructs. A servant of God does the will of God.

A God’s servant is a servant of God to do God’s will, not humanity's will.

People have a harsh knack for judging God's servants because of their petty differences.
3. Children of Israel speaking against Moses.
The children of Israel spoke against God and against Moses.

Num. 21:5: And the people spoke against God and against Moses; ‘Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this worthless bread’.

And God’s anger was kindled against them. He sent fiery serpents to bite them and many of the children of Israel died.

Num. 21:6: And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many people of Israel died.
4. Youths speaking against Elisha.
Youths mocked Elisha. Mocking is speaking against.

2 Kings 2:23: And he went up from there unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came youths out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, ‘Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead’.

Two female bears came out of the woods and mauled 42 of the youths.

2 Kings 2:24: And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and mauled forty and two of the youths.

Do Not Speak Against God’s Servants: – God’s Anger will be Kindle Against those Speaking against a servant of God as if they are speaking against God Himself and blaspheming the same God that they claim to praise and worship.

It is a sin.

People want things THEIR way instead of how the servant of God is doing things.

They want things done according to the way their mostly carnal minds think.

Remember God's servants have a DOUBLE PORTION of God's Spirit leading them.

They are required DOUBLE HONOR. They have the Holy Spirit guiding them in order to lead and help others.

Instead of speaking against a God servant, we should encourage and help him. He is at the forefront of spiritual battle for his congregation.

By helping a servant of God we will see our self-winning battles. Aaron and Hur knew this principle.

It does NOT matter if we agree or disagree with that servant of God. He is in a position that God will judge him more harshly. He doesn't need human petty judgments on him to add to the pressure that he is under.

Aaron and Hur noticed that when Moses’ arms were up while directing a battle, Israel had the victory over their enemy and when they were down, Israel was defeated. Aaron and Hur made sure that Moses' arms were held high so that they would get the victory. They physically held up God’s servant's arms.

We should metaphorically hold up a servant of God's hands; helping and encouraging him and in doing so we will win battles of life.

Honoring a servant of God is as honoring God Himself. We as true Christian people need to wake up and realize this.

We NEED to lift up God’s servants' arms, do not force them down!

If we have spoken against a servant of God no matter if they are alive or dead, no matter if we agree with or disagree with their tactics of serving we had better repent while we still have life in us to recognize this huge mistake!

Remember to repent is to turn away from something and NEVER do it again!

By repenting and embracing the blessings of what God has given to us we will see things change in our lives because God will forgive us, He will release His wrath upon us IF don't we humbly repent.

Many things are going wrong in the life of many people today because they spoke against a servant of God and God’s wrath has been kindled against them.

They wonder why this and that is wrong in their life.

They NEED to wake up to the WRONGS that they have embraced of speaking against God's anointed.

They NEED TO Repent!

God will forgive us.

But DO NOT -- I repeat do NOT -- allow human (mostly carnal) reasoning to assess a reason to speak against God's servants.

From today on AFTER we repent of this bad deed, we need to encourage, help, hold high the hands of a God servant, and then we will start to win battles in life.

Not all are servants of God; not all are servants of ‘I AM’. There is a brood of vipers out there; a brood of Satan.

We should not open our mouths against any person claiming to serve God without knowing the spirit powering the person; without knowing who the servant is serving (the master of the servant).

Many people have spoken against God's servants through the years.

When we speak against those servants, We are speaking against their Master (Jesus Christ).

A lot of people's health issues and such are brought on by how people speak against God's servants.

They have chosen to be partakers in the spirit of Satan the Devil by gossiping and character assassination, by the measure of their self-righteous look towards others.

In doing so they have issued the wrath of God to kindled against them for speaking against God's chosen anointed servants.

No matter what the method the servant of God partakes in that doesn't sit well with us we should NEVER EVER criticize their methods otherwise we are setting up ourselves for a great fall.

God has used many people in many ways through the centuries. Some have gimmicks that stand out that attract people to them. Some may seem dull and boring but for some people they still attract. Some may be very loud and theatrics in their manner.

There are MANY various types of God's servants and each deserves our DOUBLE honor because they are doing what God's given them a job to do.

We as a people NEED to focus on our own selves and stop being so petty in JUDGING others and covering up that judgment with reasons for saying things against God's servants.

Some servants have a certain portion of understanding on things that others don't.

Respect what they are trying to do with what amount of capabilities that they have to do with.

And if we have then we MUST Repent and know that the kingdom of God is at hand!

If we find ourselves making excuses to speak against a servant of God such as by saying, "I know the bible and he doesn't fit the description of a servant of God."

Then know this - Paul had once killed Christians and was probably the closest to Christ of the servants of Jesus.

The Devil knows the Bible backward and forward. So it's no big thing if the servants of the Devil, that do actually speak against God's servants, may know the Bible backward and forward also.

By their speaking against God's servants, they have announced that they are working for the Devil instead of God.

People's lame excuses of saying things negatively against God's servants won't wash with God.

In closing, we should not EVER speak against God’s servants. If we have we NEED to repent of this and NEVER do it again.

Those servants are doing their part in the way that they know to do. No matter who agrees or disagrees.

God's people lift up the Saint of God, NOT tear down the Saints of God. □
