Krampus ── Not For True Christians!

There is a satanic worldly holiday that a great many people have never heard of──it's called Krampus. Yet, there have been a growing number of movies focused on this creature.

This Krampus holiday is mostly celebrated in parts of Europe, and it usually runs from December 5th through to December 8th.

Here is a little about this──certainly Satan-influenced──holiday:

“The Krampus – is a horned anthropomorphic figure who, in the Central and Eastern Alpine folkloric tradition, is said to accompany Saint Nicholas on visits to children during the night of 5 December (Krampusnacht; “Krampus Night”), immediately before the Feast of St. Nicholas on 6 December. In this tradition, Saint Nicholas rewards well-behaved children with small gifts, while Krampus punishes badly behaved ones with birch rods.” 1

Krampus, whose name is derived from the German word krampen, meaning claw, is said to be the son of Hel in Norse mythology. The legendary beast also shares characteristics with other scary, demonic creatures in Greek mythology, including satyrs and fauns.

The legend is part of a centuries-old Christmas tradition in Germany, where Christmas celebrations begin in early December.

Krampus was created as a counterpart to kindly St. Nicholas, who rewarded children with sweets. Krampus, in contrast, would swat “wicked” children and take them away to his lair.

According to folklore, Krampus purportedly shows up in towns the night before December 6, known as Krampusnacht, or Krampus Night. December 6 also happens to be Nikolaustag, or St. Nicholas Day, when German children look outside their door to see if the shoe or boot they’d left out the night before contains either presents (a reward for good behavior) or a rod (bad behavior).

A more modern take on the tradition in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic involves drunken men dressed as devils, who take over the streets for a Krampuslauf—a Krampus Run of sorts, when people are chased through the streets by the “devils.” …

Krampus is making a comeback now, thanks partly to a “bah, humbug” attitude in pop culture, with people searching for ways to celebrate the yuletide season in non-traditional ways. National Geographic has even published a book in German about the devilish Christmas beast.

This Krampus is certainly some type of Satanic celebration!

The apostle Paul──under divine inspiration──says that true Christians are NOT supposed to celebrate or support the darkness of revelries –

“The night is far spent, the Day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13) Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.” – Romans 13:12-13.

Any of these pagan-originating Satan-inspired celebrations of revelry and drunkenness (and this Krampus is clearly NOT FOR TRUE CHRISTIANS) are “holidays” that true Christians are not to celebrate or support.

Notice the living commands from the LORD God –

“’ When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to DISPOSSES, and you displace them and dwell in their land, …”

Because──and He gets to this──those nations were doing evil in the sight of the LORD God! And we can think of a great many civilizations that the LORD God allowed to be destroyed. The antediluvian, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, the Amalekites. And surely, even the ancient Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans!?

“ … ‘take heed to yourself that you are NOT ENSNARED to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’

31) YOU SHALL NOT worship the LORD your God IN THAT WAY; …’”

And, we can certainly think of CHRISTMAS. We are not to celebrate, support, or worship the LORD God in that way. It was originally derived from paganism!

“ … ‘for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. 32) Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.’” – Deuteronomy 12:29-32.

“Listen, ISRAEL, to this word that the LORD has spoken against you: ‘Do not fall into the ways of the nations, do not be awed by signs in the heavens; it is the nations who go in awe of these.’” – Jeremiah 10:2, NEB. □
