Commentary: Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged!

I work with Sunday-go-to-meeting church people – of the Baptist and the Church of Christ. And I have to listen to them every day.

As they talk about everybody. As they judge everybody. As they judge each other.

It’s dawned on me – these church-going people of the Baptists and the Church of Christ are a type of modern-day Pharisees and Sadducees! At least here in the Bible Belt of the southern US.

Personally, they are two of the most unpleasant groups of Sunday-go-to-meeting church people to be around.

It truly boggles my mind how they both belittle, attack and judge people.

The Church of Christ thinks that anyone who drinks an alcoholic drink is a sinner. And, the Baptists think that anyone who drinks an alcoholic drink is a drunkard.

It reminds us of how our Lord Jesus Christ was looked upon and called a glutton and a drunkard!  Because He drank fermented wine.

The Pharisees and Sadducees magnified everything so intensely and so extremely – everything became a sin.

The people from the Church of Christ – in their grievous misunderstanding of Romans 14:23 – announce that if it’s a sin unto you, then it’s a sin. And, I explain to them, yes it is – because you have made it so! But that does not mean that it’s necessarily a sin to the LORD God.

They have called me a legalistic. Because I explain to them what the definition of sin is according to the living word of God.

“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.” – 1 John 3:4.

Sin is defined as the breaking of God’s Law. Not Jewish law.

Our Lord Jesus was accused of breaking the Jewish law. But, He did not break God’s Law.

The judgmental Jews had entwined their laws with the living Law of God – thus making their laws on the same level as the Law of God.

Sadly, this is the same manner within the Baptists and the Church of Christ.

This world’s so-called Christian churches are but daughter churches to the Roman Catholic Church – the “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” – Revelation 17:5. They are all under the spiritual influence of Satan the devil.

Whether you agree or not – that is a fact.

Baptist and Church of Christ churches are but man-made churches with man-made ideologies and traditions. They are false churches. They preach and teach a false Christ. And, being a part of those church groups is the same as going to a “’ synagogue of Satan, who say they are [the chosen people] and are not, but lie ─ ’” – Revelation 3:9. And, Satan the devil is the father of lies.

Sadly, these groups are biblically illiterate and base their ideologies and doctrines upon the ideologies and doctrines of men. They reject the living truth of God for the fluffy religiosity that they teach and promote as “feel good” stuff. Which has no basis in the living truth of the Eternal One.

As a servant and minister of God’s Church, I refuse to accept or brush away without rebuke such utter works of darkness, nor accept their followers as “Christians.” Because they are certainly not true Christians.

It is the likes of these same types of people in the time of our Lord Jesus Christ that had our Lord Jesus falsely arrested, illegally tried, and ultimately murdered!

They cast judgment stones on the living truth of God! To accept and follow them is the same as accepting and following our physical and spiritual enemy – Satan the devil.

Strong words – but truth.

Accepting and following such false religions is the same as breaking the FIRST and SECOND of the Ten Commandments – “’ You shall have no other gods before Me’” and “’ You shall not make for yourself a carved image ─ any likeness of anything … you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, …’”

And we are told by the Apostle James – through the Spirit of God – “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” □
