March Stats - 2024

GREETINGS & SALUTATIONS TO EVERYONE! Welcome to another new civic month! APRIL. The ancient Romans gave this month the Latin name of Aprilis. The Anglo-Saxons called April ēastre-monaÞ. Now the Venerable Bede (an English Monk, author, and scholar of the Middle Ages) says in his The Reckoning of Time that this month ēastre is the very root of the word EASTER. Imagine that!

Minister Michael C. Garrett wrote concerning this name variation - Easter:
"One of the ancient gods of that world (Dumuzid, later known by the alternate form Tammuz, is the ancient Mesopotamian god associated with shepherds, who was also the primary consort of the goddess Inanna (later known as Ishtar; a name variation is Easter). Often this very same phrase is used of the Queen of Heaven. How many have heard that phrase in God's living word, the Queen of Heaven? Lots of different names for this personality, including Queen Sammu-Ramat (Semiramis)."

And, of course, the controversial Alexander Hislop (1807-13 March 1865) backs this up in the likes of his work The Two Babylons.

Also, in ancient Rome, the festival to their goddess of grain Cerealia was held for seven days from mid-to-late Aprilis. Note that the very word cereal comes from the name Cerealia. The French word "céréale" (which is from the 16th century) and the Latin word "Ceralis" both played a part in shaping the word's meaning. The Latin word "Ceralis" originally meant "of Ceres" (referring to the pagan goddess), but over time it morphed to signify "of grain."

Brethren & Friends, thank you for your continued love and support in the greatest Work on this planet in this dispensation.

God Bless!
