Pieter Bruegel the Elder Proverbs of the Blind Tree, Butter. 1568 |
The Owensboro Church of Jesus Christ is pleased to announce the following sermon on its YouTube channel:
1:31
Blind Leaders of the Blind
Matthew 15:14 - in which Jesus Christ boldly stated when hearing from His disciples that the Pharisees had been offended. Indeed, it was true of the official religious teachers to the children of Israel in the time of our Lord's day, it is ever-more true in this time of the end. Jesus says, 'Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind.' The apostle Paul - through the very teachings of Jesus Christ - specifically refers to Satan the devil as 'the god of this world': "But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them" - 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV. Friends, the only guide we should have to the Word of God, the Truth of God, and the ultimate Plan of God is Jesus Christ. He alone has a clear vision. He alone leads us surely through all tribulations. Lean not on ignorant men, when among us is our great High Priest and Advocate to whom we can always go to. His light shining upon our path, we will be able to see.
